She says viewers of Dubai, London, Toronto, Istanbul, Paris, Karachi, and New York, have narrow minds, but the fact is she has herself crossed the limits a number of times. Yes, you are right we are talking about none other than Humaima Malick.
Humaima is one of those very few actresses and models who have always been criticized for the bold appearance in the movies as well as in fashion shows.
It is true that she acts magically, but we cannot ignore the fact that Malick wears very short dresses in her films giving the glimpse of being a female celebrity from the West.
While talking to BBC New York, Humaima claimed that she is mentally disturbed since the audience is putting too many blames on her for nothing. She is of the view that in order to match the standards of movies of Paris, Dubai, London, Toronto, Istanbul, and New York, she sometimes has to film the bold scenes.
Does this mean of Humaima works in Hollywood, she would go topless? No, it is nothing more than her useless comments since she is trying to defend herself in one way or the other. To much extent, Malick has lost her top position and the Pakistani viewers no more want to see any of her Bollywood or Pakistani movies.
Born in Quetta, Pakistan, Humaima completed graduation from the Government Girls College Quetta before moving to Karachi to pursue the modeling career. In those days, her father got retired, so the whole family shifted to this ‘Pakistani city of glamorous people’. In her siblings, she has three sisters and two brothers.
Humaima was only of 14 when she made the appearance in the Unilever Pakistan’s commercial. The successful of that ad campaign led her to get the chance of walking the ramp for designers like Deepak Perwani. Following it, owners of some best beauty and fashion brands from Dubai, Toronto, New York, Istanbul, London, and Paris signed Malick for their shows and TV advertisements.
Malick’s acting career began with the serial Ishq Junoon Deewangi. Later on, she worked in Barish Kay Ansoo, Tanveer Fatima (B.A), Tair-e-Lahoti, Aja Mai Tennu Pyar Kara, Talluq, as well as Akbari Asghari.
Seeing her beautiful and powerful acting, the filmmakers of Pakistan and India were quite impressed. Soon Humaima got the chance to work in movies too and her film debut was Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol. In 2012, she acted in Ishq Khuda, in which her performance was incredible.
Nowadays, Humaima is more into working in B-Town films as according to her, Indian movies not only pay well but also you can get better chances to polish your artistic skills. Her notable Indian film projects have been Sher, Chitthiyan, and Raja Natwarlal.
In any of the ways, this Pakistani girl tries her best to impress the audience. She is, no doubt, a versatile performer, but what she is criticized for is her bold acting style.
The young actress clarifies in a press conference that people never have any problems watching Bollywood actresses like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, and others, dancing and locking the lips; but if a Pakistani actress does the same, she has to suffer from negative comments. As per Humaima, it is nothing more than the double standards because she is only playing her characters and has no personal interests to act cheaply in the movies.
She further says that sometimes it is the demand of the producers to lock the lips, and she is just doing her job she is paid for. People should have no objection, and they should instead appreciate her efforts, Malick adds.
Undoubtedly, the people of Pakistan, Dubai, Istanbul, Paris, New York, Toronto, and London, feel bad when the models and actresses start working in B-grade Indian films. The saddest thing happens when the same stars instead of accepting their fault try to defend themselves. For Humaima Malick and Fawad Khan like big celebs, it is important that they maintain their reputation. They should not forget that they are representing their native country being the top artists. We appreciate Fawad when he rejected the movies where he had to lock the lips with the Bollywood actresses including Alia Bhatt and Sonam Kapoor. it is our suggestion that Humaima should focus on signing the movies with powerful script and quality content then she would not need to cross the limits for remaining in headlines. What is your opinion about it?
